Slack Users and Teampay Access
If your organization utilizes Slack, Teampay leverages SSO (single-sign on) to automatically pull users and provision access.
While we pull all users into Slack, there are a few different types of roles within Slack, and each has a different impact on utilization. Below is a list of Slack roles and how they pertain to Teampay.
- Full users (Owner, Admin, Member): Has complete access to both the bot and web app
- Single channel guest: Has access to the bot only, not web
- Multi channel guest: Has access to the bot only, not web

How do I restrict access to guest users?
Depending on how you utilize guest users within your organization, you might not want them to have access to Teampay and funds. No problem! To handle this, we recommend:
-
Making a group to house these guest users (ex. Guest Users - No Access)
- Add guest users into this group
-
Setting up a rule that auto-rejects all purchase requests from the group
- You can also add a note to the requestor, informing them they do not have access.
